Process

  • Obtain a copy of the Internal Audit strategy and action plans

  • Assess adequacy of action plans to achieve strategy

  • Identify gaps in action plans that need to be addressed

  • Discuss the gaps with the Chief Audit Executive

  • Amend the actions as per agreement with the Chief Audit Executive

  • Define KPIs for each staff member in the Internal Audit function based on the action plans and strategy

  • Draft job descriptions based on the KPIs

  • Discuss job descriptions and KPI’s with the Chief Audit Executive

  • Amend KPIs and job descriptions where necessary

  • Populate the Organisational Performance Assist module if you are subscribed to the Action Assist suite

 

Outcome

  • Customised KPIs, designed using SMART principles, for all Internal Audit staff

  • KPIs aligned with Internal Audit strategy

  • Job descriptions aligned to KPI’s

  • Update Organisational Performance Assist information
